Fall vacation in the mountains

Dear Ones,

We just returned from a nice fall vacation in the Smokies, which included a conference for seniors (a first for us) in Gatlinburg called Jubilee, which featured great speakers and musicians, including my favorite, Sandi Patti. We were gone from Friday through Wednesday, and did not eat a single meal out... kinda' proud of this... it helps to offset the cost of the gas it takes to get there! This was over the objections, mind you, of the male type person in this family... (i.e. "Let's eat here!"; "Let's eat there!"). The autumn colors were less than spectacular, like we saw them in October two years ago, but the mountains are beautiful, nonetheless. The photo on the staircase is in the exact spot (we think) as a picture taken on our honeymoon 40 plus years ago at the Chalet.
