Dear Ones,
We just returned from a week at the beach, where we celebrated Haley's 5th (!) birthday on May 17th. The picture is of her talking to her Daddy in Baghdad on her birthday. We took her to lunch on her day, after which we enjoyed "blue raspberry" smoothies. Her cake is sub-optimal, as I haven't learned to use the convection oven in the camper for such baked goods yet. Note Brayden snuggled in for his nap sippy cup in hand, in a niche (between bed and closet) in the camper. He loves his Pappy, and tolerates me. In the next photo, he is "getting down" at Lulu's. The mommie dove was in a tree outside our camper, and the dad got pretty upset when we came nearby. We spent our last day in Fairhope... my kind of town...small, Southern, and quaint. The meal in the camper consists of gems from a quaint farmer's market at the end of the day, cooked on the road... note the flat cornbread... still delicious with fresh snap beans, squash, and tomatoes, with fresh blackberries for dessert!
